New culinary destination Union at Compound opens to the public on January 26, 2024 in Long Beach’s Historic Zaferia. The restaurant and bar is an exciting new addition to the Long Beach and Southern California food scene and opens within the unique arts and wellness cultural center Compound, founded by philanthropist Megan Tagliafferi. The menu is curated by Baryo’s Eugene Santiago as Executive Chef. The concept fuses Tagliaferri and Santiago’s shared vision of celebrating and appreciating intersectional culture; the importance of connection and bounty of the community within Long Beach and its surrounding areas; food and its importance to wellness and healing, made accessible.
